Monterey Lighting Solutions has provided lighting distribution for a number of Irvine Company projects, the latest being the award-winning Redwood Place. This luxury apartment master-planned community located in Sunnyvale, CA on the former site of chip manufacturer AMD’s corporate headquarters, is the winner of the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Milestone Project of the Year award. The community includes one- and two-bedroom apartments and amenities, including a gym, outdoor saltwater pools, an on-site market and café, outdoor patios, a children’s playground, and lighted pathways that meander through a 6.5-acre park.
The lighting for this ambitious project needed to dovetail with the intentions of sustainability, modernity, and comfort that inform the community’s architecture and aesthetics. Monterey provided real line-item pricing for the design phase and in-house inventory management to guarantee on-time delivery of lighting products throughout all phases of construction.
