Acuity Brands Inc. is set to sponsor the first Lighting Learning Lounge at the 2013 American Institute of Architects Expo from June 20-22 in Denver. The first two days of the show will feature six Acuity Brands experts presenting free educational sessions on topics including LED lighting, OLED lighting, lighting controls, daylighting and healthcare lighting.

"The architectural community is constantly pushing the envelope in building development and design, and we know lighting is a key variable in that quest," said Tricia Foster, Acuity Brands Director of Training and Education. "We are excited to share our knowledge with AIA Expo attendees to help further expand commercial lighting knowledge."

The first of six presentations will take place June 20 with Acuity Brands Lighting Specification Sales Manager Mark Ricketson discussing integrated lighting and controls solutions. Also on June 20 will be "Specifying LEDs" with Mark Hand, Acuity Brands lighting director of indoor new product development and technology and "Designing Buildings for Daylight Harvesting," with Sandra Stashik, lighting specification marketing manager at Acuity Brands.

June 21 will include "New Visions for OLED Lighting" with Director of OLED Business Development at Acuity Jeannine Wang and "Lighting Design Considerations for the Healing Environment," with Lighting Vice President at Healthcare Vertical Karyn Gayle. The final presentation will be "How to Specify Custom Decorative Lighting" with Tom Scott, Acuity lighting specification sales manager.

At the expo, Acuity plans to showcase its latest in architectural LED lighting, OLED lighting, wireless lighting controls and daylighting products.
